My photos of Malta...
Nov. 18th, 2005 01:42 pmI don't think I've posted the link to my first Malta photos yet, so here it is: Fajrdrako's Malta Pictures.
It's neither complete nor perfect but just looking at the photos as they are makes me smile. There's so much I want to say about each picture... for instance, that Anchor Bay is included not just because it's a beautiful bay on the Mediterranean but because, just out of range of the photo, is Popeye Village, the setting for the movie Popeye, where they've left all the buildings intact as a sort of wacky entertainment park. It's a hoot - though the natives disapprove. So does the Rough Guide to Malta, which deplores its general tackiness. I love it, as a wild anomaly.
Malta is such a wonderful place.... I want to post more about it, but I'm afraid if I start talking about it I'll never stop.
Enjoy.

I thought the Popeye Village was fun and charming and quirky too. You don't see something like that every day - not in any country!

This native disapproves. As you well know. *g* But that's just me being snotty...
I'm glad the photo I took of you in the dghajsa came out so well. What about the one you took of me? And did we ever get one taken of the two of us together? I can't remember.
The photo of Jane and Noddy has been a huge hit, you ought to know. It's such a lovely photo! Jane has just got a computer, and I've been over a couple of times to set things up for her and show her how to do basic stuff like emailing and browsing. sS I sent her the two photos (the Noddy and Royale ones) as attachments, much to her delight. My mum is thinking of getting the Noddy one printed and framed and giving it to Jane for Christmas - as long as, of course, you don't mind? It being your photo and all... :)
I owe you email. Will get round to it, I promise! ::hugs you::

Date: 2005-11-20 05:43 pm (UTC)Well, not just you. And you should hear the "Rough Guide to Malta" on the place - they'd discourage any sane person from going there!

It came out well too, and I plan to put it online when I get my pictures properly sorted out.
And did we ever get one taken of the two of us together?
I don't think we did. We should have!

Oh - I'm delighted to hear it!
It's such a lovely photo!
I thought so. Noddy has such personality. (Not to say Jane doesn't. It's the combination...)

Oh, no, I don't mind - I'm delighted. What a great idea!
I'm behind in all my e-mail, too... (sigh)
