fajrdrako | Lazing around on my birthday...

I woke up today to a phone call from Thomas, at 9:30 a.m. It was a shock to him, as he usually gets my answering machine, and expected me to be out and walking for at least an hour by then. As normally I will be, but I've been pampering my sore leg, and I just felt like sleeping late. He was so startled he couldn't think of anything much to say besides "happy birthday" - I don't know if we're ever had such a short conversation!

Then

maaboroshi and I went out for brunch at Carmellos. I had the salmon benedict with crip bacon - and they got the bacon right! Happy day.

Then we went to

maaseru's place and watched the latest Battlestar Galactica episode, "Pegasus". Wow. All I can say is, I can hardly wait for the next segment.

Thoughts on the episode:
- is every single person on the Pegasus evil?

- Woo, are Starbuck and Apollo in trouble now. But I loved the way they made a team - the two people from Galactica, so alike and so aligned. For the first time, really, I could see the appropriateness of a relationship between them. (Though I still feel resistence to it.)

- my heart bled and melted for Boomer. I didn't like her much in first season. Now... she's a favourite chacters. But that, of course, was another Boomer and now that wench is dead. (Even if she has fisrt-Boomer's memories.)

- Does the imprisoned Numebr Six remember living on Caprica with Baltar? Obviously our Number Six (Baltar's Number Six) didn't know who it was in the cell beforehand. I'm not sure what to make of it anyway. After the episode, [Unknown site tag],

maaboroshi and I got into a discussion of what differentiates a human from a Cylon. Not so much, it seems. Except perhaps legal human rights, and perhaps a degree of nanotechnology.
