Shame....

I looked again at the question "fandom you're ashamed to admit to" and realized there is a partial answer: Queen of Swords. I am not the least bit ashamed of having written slash about Colonel Luis Montoya (Valentine Pelka) and Dr. Robert Helm (Peter Wingfield) because they are everything I would want in a slash pairing, and historical (sort of) to boot. I love historical slash.

But the show itself was awful, which was a pity.

No one should be ashamed of writing anything to do with Peter Wingfield, and I very much liked Valentine Pelka as Montoya. The show was horrible, but consider yourself forgiven. *bg*

We must have our priorities. Peter Wingfield is the creme de la creme of any show he chooses to appear in. Too bad we didn't see more of him in the new X-Men movie - I think he should have played Stryker, and have had all those fierce, intimate, edgy conversations with Logan. But then... in this world you just can't have everything. And I might have perished of spontaneous combustion when I saw it.

And thanks for the forgiveness. *g*

Ooooh, sexy thought. Now I'll be spending way too much time imagining this. X-Men isn't a comic I know very much about, and my main impression of the new movie was 'Logan - HOT!' Which pretty much was worth the viewing all on its own.

I've been imagining it myself; I'm happy to spread the enticing image. Yes, Hugh Jackman has made Logan a wonderful character, but he was complex, primal and fascinating even before the movies. Deefinitely good raw material for slash.

X-Men is one of those series where there are many interesting characters with many complicated relationships and lots of openings for a happy slash writer.

Ooooh...may I read them, please? You know I'm a hopeless Val slut.

Of course you can! I'll send 'em to you. (I can't do it now, as I'm at work; I'll send them from home and if I forget, remind me.)

This is totally and completely random.

I thought it was true, when you added me this weekend, but I'm just now getting back to looking-- I have to tell you. I am so in love with "Bodies In Motion". That story singlehandedly made me fall in total love with stories where they meet/hookup with Bruce.

Jeeze, that was such an excellent, excellent story.

Boy, did you just make my day. What a nice thing to say! Thank you, you wonderful person.

Now let's hope we can find lots of CLex stories with Bruce Wayne in them. I've been trying to make a list of such stories as already exist but I haven't found as many as I'd hoped to find.

Oh, I'm so glad to make you happy! I have been meaning to look, see if it were you. I'm trying really hard to be a better feedbacker, and lord, that one so deserves a lot of feedback. SO good. *G*
