Tina and Papagus...
Aug. 5th, 2005 10:45 pmOh what a lovely evening. After dinner at the Papagus Greek Taverna, Beulah and I walked with Tina back to her hotel - and how lovely it was, to walk in comfortably cool air for a change.
Dinner was quite magnificent. I had cheese flambee, calamari, and roast lamb. Picture me with a blissful smile. Conversation was diverse and pleasant: the Dunnett fans present were Tina (from Toronto), me, Beulah, Gemma, and Alayne - and representing the Dorothy Dunnett Non-Readers Association, Alayne's husband Brett.
At work today, the computer was down most of the day - but that actually didn't affect me much; I went again with the kids from the Summer Drama Camp to the National Gallery. I enjoy the trip every time. No funny comments about the American Embassy this time, but I did catch snatches of talk about Spider-Man again, which always delights me. (Again, from the boys, not the girls.)
