maaboroshi and I enjoyed Batman Begins so much this morning, we decided to watch Spider-Man 2 this evening. I'd seen it before, they hadn't. I wanted to see how it compared to Batman Begins.

I enjoyed seeing it again, but there's no contest: Batman Begins is by far the better movie. For one thing, it plays up Bruce Wayne's heroism, where Spider-Man 2 plays it down; I don't like that much. Add to that, I don't like either Tobey McGuire or Kirsten Dunsk in their roles... In fact, I think the best actors in Spider-Man are Alfred Molino as Doc Oc and J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jamieson. And Spider-Man should be wittier.

I enjoyed Batman Begins even more the second time round, knowing what to expect. Everything about it: I found it more moving, I found Alfred more charming, I found Bruce Wayne sexier... and even though Katie Holmes was still unconvincing and inadequate as Rachel, I could enjoy her role and her lines.

It would be nice to have a poster picture of that scene of Bruce in bed.
