Yes, I thought I'd hate PotC. I'm a big fan of Legolas but not so much of Orlando Bloom, and at that point I'd hardly seen Johnny Depp in anything. (Maybe "Edward Scissorhands"?) I thought the trailers looked really dumb, and Disney movies... well, you never know what they'll be like in terms of quality. So. I was, shall we say, pleasantly surprised. Okay, so I was bowled over. I fell in love. Nice feeling.
I expected very little of Troy and found that I enjoyed it. Especially Achilles - and it isn't that I'm a Brad Pitt fan, so much - no, really, I guess I am. I think he's extremely talented. His looks aren't so great but his skill as an actor is quite amazing.
