A delightful article about words that don't exist in English, but should: Words Without Borders.

I have been thinking a lot lately about how truly international, how utterly global we have become. To hear our media and our governments, it's as if the tsunami in the Indian Ocean was in out back yard - as it was, of course, on the new scale of things. I chat regularly, daily, with friends all over the world, and they don't feel far away.

It's enough to almost make me believe in progress.

What a wonderful article! I especially like: uitwaaien - to walk in the wind for fun. Wish we all had time to do such simple, enjoyable things. :)
