[livejournal.com profile] isagel posted these questions and answers so I figured I would too....

Spell your first name backwards?

Okardrjaf. Sounds a little like Russian.

The story behind your lj user name?

It's astrological. I was born in the year of the dragon, and "fajrdrako" - pronounced, roughly, fire-drahko - is Esperanto for "fire dragon". In other places I use "aerdrako".

I don't like pseudonyms and usually never use them. I was persuaded to use one for online slashfic, and do so with very mixed feelings - mostly reluctance. But I've come to quite like 'fajdrako' as a name, and there are many Elizabeths in Smallville fandom already. Don't need one more.

Are you a lesbian?

No, bisexual.

Where do you live?

Ottawa, Canada.

CD in stereo right now?

None, but if there were one in the stereo, it would probably be a soundtrack or showtunes.

Tattoos?

No.

Piercings?

Ears.

What you are wearing now?

A dark-royal-blue cotton top from Thailand, with grey-blue cotton trousers.

Cologne/Perfume?

Never. I don't like smelling unlike myself.

Hair?

Short, usually, at least during the past few years. Light brown, or dark blonde (as my mother used to call it), going grey now with a patch of white above the left temple. I rather like that; makes me think of Rogue.

Who or What (was/is/are)

In my mouth?
In my heart?

Ideas. Way, way too many ideas, some of which I will probably never articulate.

Most important thing on my hard drive?

Many, many stories in various stages of completion.

The most important thing on the web?

My friends. Other fans. Friends yet to be discovered. Dictionanies and encyclopedias. Art. Pictures from movies and TV shows that I love. Poetry. Tests. Information. Access to all these things.

Three of your favorite movies?

It's easy to answer "The Fellowship of the Ring", "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King", even though I haven't seen #3 there. Is that cheating?

If you want another answer: "A Midwinter's Tale", "Much Ado About Nothing", and Ian McKellen's "Richard III".

The last thing you ate?

My first attempt at breakfast on my Ayurvedic diet: cottage cheese, stewed prunes and a pile of fresh strawberries with mint tea.

Your favourite sandwich?

Sliced chicken on a fresh crusty roll with avocado slices, bacon, sprouts, lettuce and mayonnaise.

What do you want done with your body when you die?

I really don't know. When I think of it, I can only think of metaphorical and poetic things - floating through the stars in a boat like Boromir, or being dissolved in cosmic mists of time. I guess the bottom line is I really don't care. What I do care is that when I die there will be people who care about me.

Who is your worst enemy?

Fear. Fear does no good, and is IMHO the root of all evil.

I have no enemies, though like everyone I do my bit for the sake of self-sabotage. I have conceptual enemies: Tax Men, people who propagate wars, bad ads on TV, a world of greed and commerce. Perhaps (and I wouldn't say this out loud to anyone) I see cars as a sort of enemy, though one I have learned to live with.

Ever been to Belgium?

Yes. A lovely country. I thought Brugges was beautiful and fascinating: it was the first old city I had ever seen - the first city I saw in the Old World.

Ever been to Belize?

No, and not likely to go there, particularly.

Can you eat with chopsticks?

Yes, of course. But I blow any pretension to being adept in Chinese culture by preferring to eat from a plate, not a bowl.

What are 5 cities you wouldn't mind relocating to?

London (England), Penzance (Cornwall), Durham (England), Halifax (NS), Kirkwall (Orkney).

What's something that you wish people would understand?

That they don't need to be afraid.

What is something you're pretty sure you don't understand?

Why people accept things in our society that they should not.

3 most obscure fic kinks?

Obscure? None of my kinks are particularly obscure.

(1) Heroism. One character takes a great risk for another, or does something very noble.

(2) Sex standing up against walls.

(3) Tough guys discovering love unexpectedly.

The genre character you would sell your beloved to fuck?

I won't sell anyone but I want Lex Luthor.

"Ayurvedic" is the system of thought behind yoga, historically - the ancient Hindu body of knowledge. So an Ayurvedic diet is one based on principles of yoga, which is determined by body type in three categories called doshas. It's very cool but I can't tell yet whether the diet will be easy or difficult to follow.
