The front page of The Ottawa Citizen today showed two men kissing.

I am so happy about this - not so much just that they can get married to each other, and did, but because in a world with as many prejudices as we have, they could and did put the picture on the front page. Yes, it's worthy news, but more than that... it's acceptable to show.

And of course, there was the snarky letter in the paper about it. (paraphrasing since I don't have the paper here in front of me.) "At 3am I don't want to see this.. yech." Figures. I am waiting for the letter from someone stating they don't want to see anyone blatantly kissing on the front page, male/female male/male female/female. Let's wait and see. ;-)

And at what time do they want to see it? (g) They are just the people who *ought* to see it, who ought to learn that a kiss is just a kiss and no better or worse according to the gender of the parties involved.
