Nov. 8th, 2004 07:11 pmA strange sort of day. I had the day off work and could stay at home - and event so rare that I can't remember when it last happened; usually when I get days off work, it's to travel.
I slept late and missed the yoga class I meant to go to. So I did yoga at home, and ended up moving furniture. Then Beulah came over and we went to lunch at Cora's: a lovely asparagus soup followed by quiche and salad. Usually when you get asparagus soup it's creamed, but this time it wasn't, it was in a delicate chicken broth. Lovely. Then I persuaded Beulah to come to my place and watch the pilot of Lost, because she hadn't seen it, and I wanted to see it again; and she fixed my wobbly lamp. I wish I had her talent for fixing things.
Then I had a long and delicious nap, followed by corn fritters for supper - something I love but never indulge in. I'm starting to feel so... unstressed. How amazing.
