Trials and tribulations...

There were all sorts of great things I was planning to do this evening, including working on a slash story and studying ancient Greek. But after I did some yoga I thought it would be a good idea to update the website for the yoga centre, since I'd been given some changes to add to the pages, so I worked on it. I had trouble making the graphics work on one page and had to spend some time fiddling with it before it was all right again.

Then I updated one number to the index page, and managed to destroy the whole thing. Just one digit, and it was a complete mess. Utterly destroyed.

I worked out a way to fix it, very laborious - and discovered after a few hours of sweat, tears and metaphorical blood, that it didn't work.

Eventually I found another way to fix it. It's okay again. What a relief.

I haven't updated it yet. Now I'm scared to touch the thing.

I'll face it tomorrow.

Oh god, what a nightmare! Hope you get it sorted out today.

And may I ask which fandom for the slash story you were planning to work on? You see, I'm hoping you'll say HH or PotC (maybe even the long-awaited Sparrington? she asks hopefully) because not being familiar with Smallville, I can't appreciate your writing in that fandom. Talking of HH slash - please, sir, can I have some more? ;)

I'm scared to touch the website again, but at some point today I'll have a go at it. And I need to talk to my friendly neighbourhood guru to see if I can learn what went wrong, and how I can prevent it in future.

I was planning to work on the Sparrington story, and to finish a Smallville pwp that's half-finished. Maybe this evening - ?

And yes, I'll send you more HH slash, though you'll be disappointed to know my stories are all combinations of Horatio, Pellew and Edrington, with not much about Archie.

This might be a very, very naive question, but don't you have the original material saved before you started fixing it?

Yes, of course I had everything saved. But that didn't help because the saved copy was messed up too. (I don't know how or why, because I hadn't done anything to it!) Everything looked good till I uploaded.... I thought I understood the principles just fine but there's obviously something I'm missing.

I like your icon. Almost as cute as a panda.
