No wonder I thought it was cold - turns out it was one degree above zero. Brr!

But truthfully, I love this weather. The days when the temperature is still above freezing but is still brisk. Exceptionally nice walking weather, and yes, walking to work this morning was even more of a pleasure than usual.

I love winter. Of course, it's only just fall here in Tennessee, and we have some crazy short winters, but while they're here, they're lovely.

It's only fall here too, but getting into what I think of as 'deep fall', when we no longer have the warm days of September but haven't got to the ice and snow of November. And the leaves are turning - beautiful oranges and red - just lovely.
