What a great day. Best birthday I've had in a long time - I've been in a terrific good mood all day. I got phone calls at work from some friends I haven't heard of in ages - Diane, for example, who sang "Happy birthday" to me. And
maaseru who gave me 53 verbal spanks (one for luck), and Michael who talked to me about classical Rome, and Toh, who gave me two birthday puzzles. (example: in what book do you find Rule 42? His hint was that I once gave him a copy of the book. I remembered the reference, but I don't remember giving him the book!)
Dinner at Flipper's: arctic char. Dessert at Dairy Queen. Then an episode of
The Professionals at
maaseru's place: "Private Madness, Public Danger". I'm not mad over the story but I love that episode because Bodie and Doyle are so cute - though it has the ugliest jacket of Bodie's career. He doesn't even have the excuse of being undercover.

Happy Birthday.

Date: 2004-09-24 08:49 pm (UTC)Oh, I haven't seen the professional in SO long. I loved Cowley. Love Gordon Jackson. Miss seeing him in stuff. And now the tune will just keep playing in my head...

Date: 2004-09-25 04:17 pm (UTC)I do to. I started dling some eps. Maybe we can do a synchronised viewing sometime, and comment back and forth in chat :)

Date: 2004-09-25 07:27 pm (UTC)I should try dling some too. I have piles of old, fuzzy videotapes. The ones we're been watching recently are beautiful PAL DVDs that don't belong to me. I wish they did! (No, no, don't be covetous....) I disovered from them that even episodes I had on tape that I thought were pristine and complete, were actually cut and censored. Now I want to see what else might be missing.
