On pirategasm we were celebrating the anniversary of the opening Pirates of the Caribbean - yup, it's been a whole year. To commemorate the occasion, I indulged in some haiku:

We are all brothers:
Dead men, lovers, pirates, rogues,
Equal on the seas.

Will Turner was no
Pirate. No way. No question
- until he met Jack.

~ ~ ~

Elizabeth loved
Will for courage, James for strength
... Jack for everything.

Norrington chases
A Caribbean pipe-dream.
Why is the rum gone?

Moonlight on black sails
Onward to bright horizon:
The path of freedom.
