Breakfasted with

walkingowl before she drove back to Pennsylvania. We went to Harvey's; hardly the healthy food I keep meaning to be eating, but delicious anyway. Because I didn't get my early morning walk, or have time to do weights before work, I persuaded her to walk a few blocks with me.

Things were hectic at work, not helped by the fact that I had to walk up to the main branch of our bank to get a cheque certified. The bookkeeper brought her lovely little dog Toby to work again; that took the edge off the stress of the day. He's so cute, he just makes things around him better.

At lunchtime, I walked with Lisa. We each had an errand; she had to pick up photos, I had to get a new wrist band for my watch. You'd think those would be quick, right? Not at all. It took ages to be served in the Bay - I think they are chronically understaffed, at least at the downtown store - and the salesclerk had the grace to apologize, though it was hardly her fault. Then at the photo store, they couldn't find the pictures Lisa was having developed. Not for ages. The errands took up the entire lunch break. At least we got them done.

After work: a workout at the fitness club. Not usually the optimal time, but it worked out fine. After supper I watched Pirates of the Caribbean again because it was on TV - most uncharacteristic of me, but what could I do? It was Captain Jack Sparrow. The rest was housework and bill-paying. I feel virtuous but bored.
