The Return of the King...
May. 25th, 2004 10:48 pmAt lunchtime I went to the Rideau Centre and bought the DVD of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. After work I went back to the Rideau Centre and returned it and went to Rogers Video on Bank St. where they were selling it for seven dollars less.
And then I spent the evening watching it. I watched the specials; noting particularly what good hair Viggo Mortensen had on some days, and how nice Karl Urban looked.
Then watched the movie itself, fast-forwarding over the Gollum bits and indulging in freeze-frame and slow-motion when Aragorn and/or Legolas were around. Love the Palantir scene in slow motion. Oh yes, Legolas would carry Aragorn up a mountain if it were necessary.
And Pippin: he's just wonderful.
How can I continue to like that story more and more?
