I love it when a fan writer pulls off the impossible. One of my favourite slash writers ever is Jane St. Clair ([livejournal.com profile] 3jane )and I am basking in the brilliance of her latest story. A challenge story: she managed to do an X-Men/Lord of the Rings crossover. I would have said it was impossible but she did it and it's so convincing I was mesmerized. Wow. I can't link to it since it isn't up on her site yet, but I'm sure it will be sometime. It's called "if you go chasing rabbits".

The story's in her LJ, so you could link to that:

I wish that I knew who Marrow was. I'm sure that I'd appreciate the story more if I knew.

Oh, good! Thanks for the link. I hadn't had a chance to look there yet.

You can see a picture of Marrow here (http://www.royaume-xmen.com/personnages/photos/marrow01grand.jpg) or here (http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Realm/5113/leez.htm). She was one of the Morlocks, a social outcast mutant, connected with Callisto and a most interesting (though dark) character who actually joined the X-Men for a time - during a spell where they had some fairly bizarre characters. http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Realm/5113/mainpag1.htm is a website devoted to her.

I don't think she's appearing in any of the current X-Men comics.
