The Fannish Five....
Mar. 6th, 2004 02:57 pm1) What are the physical characteristics of a character that turn you on, and give at least one example.
Men: Dark hair, worn long or wavy, a large nose, slim body. Example: Peter Wingfield as Methos.
Women: Short, straight hair, either dark or light; straight nose, expressive eyes. Example: Alison Mack as Chloe Sullivan.
2) What are the physical characteristics of a character that turn you off, and give at least one example.
Characters who are too large (ex: Angel) or too thin (ex: Buffy).
3) What are the personality characteristics that turn you on, and give at least one example.
Intelligence: Lex Luthor. (I could add also Fox Mulder, Methos, Horatio Hornblower, Lymond, Mal Reynolds, etc. - every hero I've ever liked.)
4) What are the personality characteristics that turn you off, and give at least one example.
Self-absorption. Example: Lana Lang.
5) What kind of clothing (or lack thereof) is most likely to make you melt like a puddle around your character, and give at least one example.
It depends on the character. On Clark Kent, I like primary colours. On Lex Luthor, I like blacks. I like Clark with glasses, Lex without them. On Mal Reynolds, I like futuristic cowboy clothes. Zoe too, but Inara should be wearing flowing eastern gowns with colourful layers. On Krycek: bad-boy black leather. On Skinner: FBI suits. On Mulder: jeans, hiking boots and T-shirts. On Bodie: his black jacket. On Doyle: His brown leather jacket with the sheepskin collar. With Methos, I like jeans and loose shirts. As for Aragorn - when he puts on his armour in The Two Towers, it's one of the sexiest scenes ever.
Captain Jack Sparrow can wear (or not wear) whatever he likes.
