<br> I was just reading <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/167998p-146774c.html" target-"blank">an interview with Viggo Mortensen</a>. I have said before (truthfully) that, much as I admire Mortensen, it's Aragorn I'm crazy over, and I don't really like Mortensen's looks - but my goodness, every interview I hear or read with him impresses me more than the last.
For instance, in this one, about why he's not sorry to be issing the Oscars: "In the last couple years, I've gotten more attention than I'd need in 10 lifetimes," he says. How many stars would think that?
Or: "Lord of the Rings' was like a four-year class in mythology. It reaffirmed on a daily basis the value of multiculturalism and compassion." What a wonderful understanding of the text and context.
