So it seems! The story caught my attention this time; it was far better than the few others I watched this season. I still have some trouble taking the plots at face value.
Don't bother with the plots. The humour just exudes from the crooks and crannys of this thing. Its dark at times. *surprise* but can be pretty fun. I could not stand watching the one with the muppets. Just couldn't.
I was loudly proclaiming to my friends that you couldn't pay me to watch the Muppet Angel - though I admit I find the idea amusing. In a shuddery sort of way.
I haven't watched it in a couple of years, and tried to last night. Not that it was horrific, but I saw nothing that made me want to start watching again. Except for the always-wonderful Alexis Denishoff, but that was a given.
Then again, if I ever got to see more episodes of ANY series than about one a season, I might be able to follow a show again.
Don't imagine I'm about to become a fan of the show, or even that I'm likely to watch it again next week. But I could see what was interesting about it, to those who like the show - something I'd never been able to see before.
I still don't like Angel himself, or the show's general situation. I still do like Spike, but it doesn't seem to ever be about him.
Alexis is the actor who plays Wesley. And, yes, he is wonderful. *g* And the character is a really good example of (one of the many reasons) why I love the Jossverse so much - the characters grow/progress/change/evolve. The Wes of today is on the surface almost a completely different person than he was when he was introduced in Season 3 of Buffy. But the changes make sense since we've seen what he's experienced in those years.
Somehow I don't think that's exactly what I wanted to say, but it's close enough. *g* Anyway, I'm desperately going to miss Joss's genius on television next fall. :(
Though he's working on the Firefly movie, isn't he?
He must be. A friend of mine said she saw the Firefly movie listed as "in produciton" or "upcoming" or something on a Universal Studios site. The news really made my day.
Better a duplicate comment than none! I look on it as a bonus.

(Sorry bout the duplicate previous comment. I'm not quite sure how that happened!)
