Walking...

Yesterday random pointed me to a site, RunKeeper, where I can map and log the amount of walking I do. This is how I know I walked 9 km today. Maybe I can make it 10 km tomorrow.

Some years ago, I did the Eowyn challenge and walked the distance from Hobbiton to Rivendell. That didn't seem so far, so I thwn walked all the way to Minas Tirith. (Eowyn would have felt the same incentive I did.) SO where should I walk now? Ottawa to Istanbul? That's about 7,836 km; it would take a long time. Perhaps walk the distance of the Camino de Santiago de Compostela? Starting from where?

I'll have to think about this... Meanwhile, today was a gorgeous day to walk.

And I couldn't help stopping to take photos of irises along the way. They call to me, and the season is so short.
