Torchwood future...

John Barrowman talks about new episodes of Torchwood, but it's the same old non-news.

From my point of view, the assertion that "there will be no Torchwood without John Barrowman as Captain Jack" is good news. Dare I trust it? And why does he say "if Russell is writing it"?

The latest gossip is that the Torchwood that Fox is thinking of producing is not our Torchwood, but a spin-off show - one would guess, about an American branch of Torchwood. Presumably not one based on Yvonne's principles of bringing alien technology to the betterment of the British Empire, but an American ideal of saving the world from aliens, or saving aliens from the world.
