I got this Torchwood meme from [livejournal.com profile] the_redjay:

Copy these questions, and repost with your answers! (And I hope you will; I feel starved for Torchwood talk.)

1. With which character from Torchwood, would you most want to have coffee/tea/drinks and why?
Captain Jack, because he'd have good stories, outrageous stories, and he'd enjoy sharing them.

2. If you worked for Torchwood, what would your specialty be?
Research. Information. Languages and decipherment. And I'd like to be a Ninja martial arts master too.

3. If you could have anything from the Torchwood Wardrobe, what you pick?
    Captain Jack's coat.

4. If you could borrow any technology/weaponry from Torchwood for one day, what would you take?
    Captain Jack's vortex manipulator.

5. If you could create a Torchwood spinoff show, what would it be like?
It would be set in the UK - maybe in Bristol or Newcastle or Liverpool, it wouldn't really matter where. Gwen Cooper and Alice Carter run a new Torchwood Three in partnership. Their team contains Tom Milligan, Kathy Swanson, and maybe a Ninja martial arts master. Rhys helps out as necessary, and occasionally they hire Martha and Mickey on contract.

    Then Captain Jack comes back.

6. If you could join the Torchwood team and experience an adventure from one of the episodes, which one would you pick and why? any episode?
"Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", because I like Captain John Hart.

7. If you could change something from an episode, what would you change?
Oh, dear - too many answers here. Which would I pick if I could only pick one? The things I most want to change are ongoing. For instance, my Toshiko would never have had a thing for Owen except what's referenced in series 1. My Jack would be a much better manager and strategist. My Gwen would bumble less, and never say "sorry" - she'd be more like the Gwen of "Children of Earth" from the end of "Day One". Martha would have a better, more significant role. Owen, having been shot in "Reset", would not have returned (dead or alive).

If only one thing... I'd wish that Ianto hadn't betrayed Jack in "End of Days".

Watched a TV show yesterday with Sheila that I'd never heard of; The Listener. It's about a young paramedic with psychic powers. Though paranormal shows aren't my favourite thing, I found the style and the theme - and the paramedic, Toby Logan, played by Craig Olejnik - most appealing.

Set in Toronto. I liked that, too.

If something is troubling you, something you really can't do anything about, how do you handle it?

Your result for The Steampunk Style Test...

The Ragamuffin

25% Elegant, 28% Technological, 37% Historical, 44% Adventurous and 54% Playful!

You are the Ragamuffin, the embodiment of steampunk playfulness. Chances are, you approach the genre from a much more casual and lighthearted standpoint than most other fans. To you, there is always an element of play inherent in the genre, and you may very well enjoy fashion as much for the opportunity to dress up as for the style itself. You probably wear goggles as an accessory, and rarely as actual eye-protection. Your outfits are likely to incorporate a lot of brown or cream, and combine large boots, Victorian corsets or vests, aviator caps or bowler hats, and gypsy skirts or slacks, simply because you like them all.
