Torchwood in Canada...
Jul. 9th, 2009 05:29 pmI heard that BBC America is airing Torchwood Children of Earth in a longer than usual timeslot, because the episode are longer than most shows.
I saw that in Canada, SPACE is airing the show at 10 pm starting July 20, but nowhere did I see how long each episode was going to be. So I wrote to the station and got this very satisfactory answer:
We are not cutting them! They will run in a 1 hour and 15 minuteWhat happy news.

Doctor Who: the new preview...
Jul. 9th, 2009 08:58 pmI just watched the new previous of Doctor Who ""The Waters of Mars". Creepy! And interesting. It looks like zombies, except for the water thing.
And we have to wait till November. Seems like a very long time.
(Also just watched Torchwood: Children of Earth Day Four, and I'm trying to... Well, I'm thinking about it ... it's one of those rare time when I am, momentarily, at a loss for words.)

Torchwood: An injury to one...
Jul. 9th, 2009 10:23 pmFor the record: from Wikipedia:
An injury to one is an injury to all is a motto popularly used by the Industrial Workers of the World who are also known as the "Wobblies." In his autobiography, Bill Haywood credited David C. Coates with suggesting a labor slogan for the IWW: an injury to one is an injury to all.[1] The slogan has since been used by a number of labor organizations. The slogan reflects the fact that the IWW was "One Big Union" and organized skilled and unskilled workers. Despite the reduced number of organized Wobblies today, the slogan is still popular with Wobblies, other unions and organizations.Huh. Who knew?
I like it.
