I carefully set my alarm last night for 6:50 a.m. when I went to bed. Didn't realize the volume of my clock-radio was turned down to zero, so it didn't wake me up. I woke up at 7:19 and the Para Transpo driver arrived at 7:25 to pick me up. And by gum, I was ready, dressed, and had fed the budgies.
Whew.
Now it's 7:26 and I have returned a set of library books to the library and have coffee and breakfast from Nate's. Nate's is the deli/restaurant around the corner from the Ottawa Little Theatre, that has been there forever (i.e., as long as I can remember), and which has great breakfasts. They were going to close down early this year, but didn't; rumour has it that the housing development planned for that block has been delayed. So Nate's continues. Their breakfast special is the best deal in town.
Have I wakened up yet?
