We just got a catalogue for our theatre's costume department, featuring Halloween costumes . Nothing odd about that, but I was amused to see the name of one costume item: "Soft, safe Gladiator". Now, if ever I've heard an oxymoron - ! Tell that one to Russell Crowe.
