The Friday Five...

You have just won one million dollars:
Oh, yeah, nice idea....
1. Who do you call first?
An investment banker? No, probably one of my friends, someone I could trust to be calm.
2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself?
A plane ticket to Malta. A somewhat frivolous answer, but it's what I'm saving up for. I'd get myself a copy of the Plena Ilustrita Vortaro that I lust after but can't afford.
3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else?
I would probably get my closest friends the things they need but can't afford. There are ideas floating around fandom about fans setting up co-op housing by and for fans - that really appeals to me on numerous levels.
4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom?
I'd like to give a certain percentage to Good Causes, but I'd have to think for a while about exactly what good causes I'd support.
5. Do you invest any? If so, how?
Most of it. I'd need to get an investment advisor I trusted - TD Evergreen, probably, as they're the only ones I know - and then I'd trust them. Though I like to spend money (don't we all!) I'm fairly conservative about expenses these days, out of habit.
