fajrdrako | Ultimate X-Men #41...

I'm used to good writing from Brian Michael Bendis, but I think with this one he surpassed himself. "New Mutants Part 2" is a frightening emotive story about a young man who becomes a mutant with a truly terrifying power. To say more would be too much of a spoiler, but I found this one both convincing and haunting in a way that comic books seldom are - and even novels and short stories often don't make it. I've never seen Wolverine so tragically strong and tough, doing what must be done... Whew.

Every once in a while I think I'm losing interest in X-Men titles, since I'm more excited over Batman books right now. Then I read a really good one like this and I know the fascination is still there.
