At the New Delhi Restaurant...
Jan. 22nd, 2004 10:28 pmI walked there with Lisa, from the Silver Snail. Since she was waiting for me, I politely didn't browse the comics too much; bought only the one comic on my subscription list that was out today, Uncanny X-Men #438, with a beautiful cover. Just when I keep resolving to drop the title, they do something to attract me again. Buying only one comic had an advantage: I could afford supper.
Lynne, Lisa and I had agreed to meet for dinner this evening and to each have a surprise for the others. I suppose originally bu 'surprise' we meant news; in the end, none of us really had news, though I regaled them with the story of my hot rock therapy on Saturday and they'd each had some sort of adventures. My surprise for each of them was an origami creation made from the origami calendar I was given for Christmas by
Lisa and I shared a dinner for two: butter chicken and bakti lamb. The lamb was actually too hot for me to enjoy. The rest of the meal was delicious, though. It was worth going off my diet for.
The restaurant's washroom, though neat and clean, was frigid. I guess there's no insulation in there. Coldest toilet seat I've met in years.
