At Jack Purcell...

fajrdrakoAt lunchtime I had chicken and a Caesar salad at Riverain Park again - the onw in Vanier near the Rideau River. Sunny and beautiful, a field surrounded by trees, green leaves shading into rust.
Supertime now - early, really just a snack, since I'm going to a 6 pm movie. I'm eating in another park, the one with a playground behind the Jack Purcell Community Centre. The kids are leaving; it's quiet here now. Another place of peace, and me with my raspberries and Brie.
Someone left behind a lunch pail with a pink Union Jack on it... and an even pinker sweater.
