And I went out to the gym without cleats or cane. Exercise in care and nerve.

So I took the bus to the gym and we passed cars on Bank Street with their fronts smashed in. The cars are having trouble, too.

But there's no point complaining about winter.

Except that it's fun to complain about winter in Ottawa. National passtime - except maybe for people in Vancouver.

If Vancouverites are anything like western Washingtonians, they complain about winter, too. Just about the rain and gloom, not the snow and cold. Unless, of course, it's one of the rare occasions where we've gotten snow -- then they're more likely to make, "OMIGOD it's the end of the world" exclamations than they are to merely complain.

I can just imagine it - yes, that sounds about right!
