The adventure of the day was a trip to Costco in a snowstorm.

We bought drawers, which now have all my desk material in them - paper, phone books, birdcage liners, pens - how does one person accumulate so many pens? I shudder to think how many of them don't work.

I also bought millet, birdseed, and a budgie-cage mirror toy that is the same colour as Domino, Wisdom and Pryde - yellow and green. Domino so far is the only one who has played with it. I don't think I've mentioned here that Domino is officially and biologically a boy now: his sere is bright blue. This means I have three girl budgies and two boy budgies. I like that. It evens the numbers.

I listened to my new CD/MP3 player and it's beautiful.

I saw The Return of the King again. Oh what a beautiful movie. Every time I see it I only love it more.
