Flowers...

This is Ottawa, Canada's Capital, at more than 55 degrees North. We don't get flowers in March. In March, we get snow.

But it's been hot and the flowers, clearly confused, have forgotten we don't get flowers in March.

Yesterday I saw this is a garden down the street:



Today I looked at the same garden, and there were more flowers in it:



And then on Third Avenue, I saw one lonely, beautiful violet:

That last photo doesn't look like a violet. It looks like some sort of a minor bulb -- a squill, maybe, or a chionodoxa. Pretty, though. I wonder how early your summer is going to start this year.

I'm not very good at identifying flowers - I always want to learn more.

Spring is early... I'm still expecting winter to come back. And summer? It felt like summer yesterday.

My parents' poor trees have gone completely crazy in the past couple of years.
