Wednesday...

I got the news today that I didn't get the job I applied for - the one I'm doing now in a temporary position. They hired someone with a computer science degree. No way I can compete with that... They want me to stay another week or two.

Already feeling low because of my ongoing chest cold, I didn't stay to do extra work in the afternoon; I went home to sleep. I even forgot to pick up my weekly comics on the way home.

So I slept, and read, and had a nice supper with maaseru at the Yang Cheng - a suitable spot, give that, when I wasn't sleeping this afternoon, I was reading Under Heaven, Guy Gavriel Kay's fantasy novel about medieval Chinese history.

Thank you - you were wonderful when I was job-searching before. Goodness knows moral support is a wonderful thing. Perhaps we could meet for coffee - after I get over this virus-from-hell and can talk again.
