Return of the Native....

Home, after a week that was fun, exciting, exhilarating, rewarding and (on a couple of occasions) boring. I found it difficult to concentrate on the reading I'd planned on the bus on the way home - either in Esperanto or in English. So I dozed off, my precious Esperanto book (La Reveno de l'Reg'o, by J.R.R. Tolkien) fell on the floor and landed in someone's gob of chewing gum.
The birds seem happy to see me.
There were adventures with luggage, as in "Marcelle had too much".
Otherwise.... yeah, I want to talk about the Tolkien Gathering, I want to talk about The Return of the King (which I managed to see twice in its first 24 hours), but that will happen later.
I missed meeting up with Mark: damn. Ditto John and Desiree and the Dunnett crowd. I suppose that leaves me an excuse to go back to Toronto as soon as possible....

Date: 2003-12-19 06:04 am (UTC)Yes! Yes! I haven't had a chance to see it yet, but we're getting off work early today, so I'm heading for South Keys for the 4:00 showing. The first of many, I'm sure :-)
I don't wassail very well, I'm afraid, but I can Firefly with the best of them...
