Livejournal... dead, alive, or undead?

Someone at the convention today said that Livejournal was dead.

Not true.

At least, I want it to be alive, and thrive.

Same here, though the mess it's been making lately when people try to post anything is causing a lot of headaches! Last time I tried to post there, when I put the post under a cut it was completely erased! I ended up linking to my dreamwidth.

Sometimes I think LJ is actively working against us!

Sometimes I think the people who run LJ need their brains testing!

Posting was easy and worked, so they fixed it - now it doesn't do any of the things people need it to do. I wish they'd just put things back the way they were. People all over my flist are screaming and tearing their hair out in frustration! Today, no one seems to be using lj cuts because they can't get them to work.

Frustrating for all - if it doesn't work properly, it's not going to be effective, and not going to be used. And it was so good!

It was. Even I could do it! Rich Text editor, because I have no clue about html, but I could do it and even got to grips with cuts and links. Now nothing seems to work right and it keeps screwing up people's formatting on top of everything else. I hope they'll get it sorted out, but I can't help thinking they should put it back the way it was and start over, fully testing any alterations and improvements before implementing them, instead of trying to fix the mess after the fact!

When it works, they shouldn't make changes. Though I suspect that some of the changes were necessitated by the attacks they underwent. Really a shame.
