Clarkie died this morning; he must have been too damaged by what happened to him to survive. Perhaps when lost in the outdoors he went too long without food.

In any case, Patti is grieving, understandably. At least the last 12 hours of his life were spent with a degree of comfort and caring and the company of other budgies.

I feel bad too. He was so cute he won my heart in an instant.

Did he belong to her originally, or did she find him after he´d been lost.

He was a lost little thing; the super in our building found him yesterday, lying on the rocks outside our building. He didn't look damaged, but budgies are fragile creatures.
