There's a chance I might be able to get my gall bladder removed tonight. Or tomorrow. It's worth sticking around for. Doctor #8 (ilana Weintraub) recommended it. It's like gambling: will they have time and resources to squeeze me in? Maybe, maybe not.

Even though it means I can't drink or eat and I feel as if I'm shrivelling up like a freeze-dried mushroom.

Wow! Here in England, you have the tests then have to wait for an appointment for the surgery! I had to wait for weeks and take a lot of painkillers.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, the sooner it's gone along with all those gallstones, the better you'll feel. Not being allowed food or drink is the hardest part!

I suspect that if -I'd gone the normal route - getting the ultrasound as recommended by my doctor, then waiting for an appointment - it would take weeks.

But I sort of jumped the queue with my liver emergengy, and since I'm here & ready, they figure they'll finish the job if they can.

I'm worried about work, but the sooner this is all done, the better.

Amen to that! Glad you aren't having to wait weeks, in a way this is good luck! (Even if it does mean being stuck in hospital when you'd rather be elsewhere!)

Hopefully, once the surgery is out of the way you won't have to stay in for long.

If they can't fit me into surgery today, I probably will have to wait weeks. So I live in hope and expectation.

I'm trying to think of this as a good detoxifying yoga fast.

Everybody says that once it's done I'll be out quickly. Everybody's really nice here, but I feel beset by thirst and boredom.

I hate being stuck in hospital - it's always so noisy, it's hard to concentrate on reading or anything else. Plus it's usually so hot, which makes not being allowed to drink that much worse.

Now, there's an icon to cheer anyone up- especially Ianto.

It isn't warm here. Apparenty it's been blisteringly hot & humid outside so the air conditioning is frigid, and I can't move around much. And it's quiet in this room Tcompared to ER) but still very boring.

I don't think British air conditioning works - if they even have such a thing in hospitals, which I seriously doubt! It's always like a sauna! At least you're not roasting, which is a blessing.

England is suffering a heatwave today, lol. Two days of hot sunshine in a row!

I could gaze at Jack or Ianto all day - or better yet, Jack and Ianto! They make for a very pretty sight =)
