Several years ago [livejournal.com profile] maaseru got a Staple Free Stapler. I thought it was very cool. She told me she got it at Staples and I planned to get one too. Mind you, I kept forgetting the subject from year to year. Then I'd notice something she'd fastened together with her staple-free stapler, and I'd be envious.

So last week I finally remembered to look for it in Staples. No luck. I asked: they no longer carry them. They didn't sell every well. Haven't had them in stock for months.

So now I wanted the thing very, very much.

By luck, they had them in Chapters. So now I am the proud possessor of an Eco Staple Free Stapler, and I've even used it. I got a blue one.

This delights me.

Ah, so it creates a flap thing.
We used to do it by hand all the time. But that won't last for large quantities. 10 max, I would imagine. Still, very good idea, if most of your stapling is small quantities.

A manual cut flap just might hold for ten pages, unless they're the thick kind.
Of course most of the stuff I need to staple is 15 and over, so that isn't an option. Pity. They're pretty.
