Oh what a long day...
Jul. 11th, 2011 10:10 pm- Went to work.
- Went to Westgate for lunch. I discovered that the Bento at the food court there sells beef chapchae, not as good as the Japchae at Seoul House, but still delicious.
- Went to the dentist and he fixed a few teeth. An hour and a half upside down in his chair cleared my sinuses like they have not been cleared for months, making me reflect on the days I used to do the yoga headstand every day. I must start doing daily inverted postures again. Yes, really.
- After the dentist, I felt exhausted and my head was spinning. It was so humid.... I went home and slept for a bit. Felt better afterwards.
- Then, French class. We talked about the role of women and their position worldwide vis-a-vis men - la parité homme femme. I learned that the Parliament with the greatest proportion of women is in Rwanda. Who'd have guessed?
- Met with Lisa and Lynne when we got home. Talked about what is going on in our lives, books we are reading and books we want to read. Lisa found a good list of questions in Canadian Living from August 2010:
- If I had the time, what three books would I love to read by the end of the summer?
- Do you remember years ago, when we used to...
- I'd be so disappointed if I never get to...
- If I had the afternoon off to do whatever I wanted, I would...
- Something I've always wanted to try...
- I'd love to have lunch with...
- Not to blow my own horn, but I believe I'm quite good at...
- If I had the time, what three books would I love to read by the end of the summer?
I'm going to think about my answers some more, before giving answers.
