Someone's remark on one of my mailing lists got me into playing The Akinator.
I first tried Philippa Somerville, which the genie did not get. Then Henry II, which took him a while, but he did it. Then Wolverine; a cinch for him. Then Nightwing, whom he guessed from remarkably few clues and questions. Ditto Black Widow. Then Hamlet, which took him no time at all. When I tried for Aragorn, the Akinator guessed Ali Baba, and then Ged of Earthsea, but eventually got to Aragorn.
Methos took a while longer for Akinator to guess.

I did all sorts of characters that it recognised and a lot that it didn't know at all. Eliza's dad and Mrs. Pierce from My Fair Lady, Anthony Blanche from Brideshead, Anne of Cleves, Chuck Bartowski's dad, Wo Fat (Hawaii 5-0)...
I think it knows if you have tabs open. I had wiki open on Chuck, and kept offering me Chuck characters, which were not the right answer.

It guessed at Queen Victoria, then King Jadwig - gave up before guessing Amalasuntha. Then it guessed Catullus in no time at all. And then Jubilee, from the X-Men.
Then I was going after Eugene Wrayburn, and it gave me James Potter... Not very close at all.
This is more fun than it had any business being!

It keeps covering the same tracks again and again. And it really guessed better last week. Oooh, but you can click details and see all the answers and what it expected. Pity it doesn't allow you to correct the wrong answers.
btw, do you know that your dw style puts the icon over the first line, so you can't read it properly?
