Loved this one... It had all the White Collar traits I most love: good lines, good banter between Peter and Neal, the two of them working together ... I'm seeing the season's theme as being Neal needing to choose between Mozzie (and his lifestyle) and Peter (and his) - rather like, last season, it was about Neal choosing between Peter and Kate.
I'm not liking the story arcs in this series very much. The music box last season left me cold. The Nazi treasure in this season is both exscessive and superfluous. I like Neal being tempted, but I like it better when he is tempted in littler, and less extravagant ways.
Elizabeth seems less friendly to Mozzie and Neal than she used to be. Or am I imaginging that, because of all the fic I've read where she is plotting to get Neal into her and Peter's bed?
Great to see Sachmo getting involved in a heist. And Mozzie as the blind man in the Planetarium was wonderful. Heck, any show that has scenes in a planetarium is fine by me. It made me want to go to one again... The last one I as at was in Bristol, back in October. I wonder how long it will be till I get to another one.
I'm glad we don't have Alex, Kate or Sarah around any more, and I rather liked the female agent who turned up from DC in this one. She's not a Diana, but who is? She seemed real to me, in a way Alex, Kate and Sarah did not.
I loved the treasure-hunt puzzle, and also the story of the reconciliation of the brothers. Loved the inclusion of Tycho Brahe.
Yes, this was White Collar as I most like it, and I hope we get more of this.
