I'm not sure whether this news item about Princess Beatrice's hat makes me want to laugh or groan. What a wild and crazy world. $30,000 for a funny-looking hat: I can't even fit my brain around that.

Actually, the hat looks to me like a Doctor Who design. I wonder if Philip Treacy is a fan.
