...So how long do we have to wait till the next episode?
Really?
As season-enders go, I thought this was fabulous. Just this morning I was wondering what they'd do to top last season, when Olivia was trapped in the alternate universe and her counterpart was in ours.
A few thoughts about this one:
- It was a prime Peter episode. We got brave Peter, angry Peter, determined Peter, heartbroken Peter... and I loved it ll.
- I like Ella the child better than Ella the young woman. I did like it that she joined Fringe division.
- Loved it, absolutely loved it, that Olivia gained control of her superpowers. And I liked the way they showed it.
- Nice contrast between the two Walters.
- Broyle's cybernetic eye was spooky.
- Nina hadn't changed a bit in ten years. We've seen very little of her for a few episodes.
- Nice of the Watchers to explain to us what happened to Peter. Or, in the nature of time paradoxes, what didn't happen to him. But if time can be changed once, time can be changed again, as we've seen in Doctor Who.
- Nice visuals. I particularly liked the amber in Central Park.
- Brad Dourif! He was terrific as Moreau, the mad terrorist. I wish we'd seen more of him.
- Loved it when Walter turned out to be a hologram.
- Astrid. She was perfect.
- Walter as scapegoat: scarily plausible.
