Elisabeth Sladen died today.

This is such very sad news. I thought she was amazing. She played one of the few roles I can think of, of a woman over sixty - heck, a woman over fifty - who can be the star of her own adventure show without any compunction, and without playing a stereotypical role.

She made me feel good about myself, and made me feel good about aging. And now... she won't ever age any more.

And I won't get to see another episode where she meets up with the Doctor, or with Captain Jack.
