First of all, I cleaned the bathroom, sorted out the shelves in there, and even dusted the Torchwood action figures. I don't do things by halves. That part went according to plan.
Then Pim went to IKEA with

Yes, says I. So we set out to move her desk to my place. What a job! Did I mention that her desk is big? L-shaped? That it has drawers? We had to dismantle and rebuild it. We had to carry the pieces down in the elevator, which is exceptionally slow today, and much in use because the other elevator is out of order. And of course I had to move all the stuff that was in and under my old desk and lug it to the basement.
Then I had to dismantle and reconstruct all my computer equipment, and my goodness, I have a lot of odds and ends - computer, printer, monitor, speakers, scanner, label printer, two external hard drives, a TARDIS, a keyboard, a mouse, and (if I want to use it) a mousepad with USB ports in it. And now I have my very own keyboard tray!
It didn't work the first time - for reasons I never did quite figure out, the monitor gave me a lot of trouble. Finally got it working, then decided to move the hard drive under the desk, which meant doing it all over again.
Done now, and I'm proud as punch, with my big new desk and a whole new perspective on the world. I'm facing the opposite direction now. And the living room is a mess - what will I do with all my odds and ends? Find places for them or discard them, I guess.
Tomorrow will be devoted to two things: the editing work and moving the bookcase.
