A terrible accident... anyone know how to fix this?

This has to do with my blender. An ordinary kitchen blender.

When we were in the Caribbean, maaseru bought some soap in Roatan. When we got home, she gave it to me. I thought I put it somewhere in my bathroom...

But no. When I got my blender out yesterday to make a smoothie, I saw that the two bars of soap had fallen into it, and have been there long enough to imbue the blender with their floral aroma. The blender smelled horrifically perfumey. I put it through the dishwasher twice: it still reeks of floral scent.

Any suggestions as to what would deodorize it?

Hmm, reading below, I think you should try the baking soda overnight. Baking soda is one of those kitchen ingredients that just works wonders in so many ways.

Okay, I have it soaking in baking soda tonight. We'll see what it's like tomorrow.
