Life in the working world...

My new job (which is more or less a return to an old one, at least on a temporary basis) is more wonderful than I can express, but it does cut into one's LJ-writing time. And reading time. And everything else. Funny how that happens.
Today:
- Had lunch with
gamergrrl at Taste Fusion on Bank Street, where Ichibei used to be. I had Pad Thai; liked the place very much, though I mourn the loss of Ichibei, which was wonderful, and which I associate in my mind with good birthday gatherings. I hope to persuade
lunacy_gal to eat with me at Taste Fusion sometime soon.
- Dropped into the Silver Snail to buy Iron Man 2.0 #1, and he showed me something in the Previews catalogue I now covet:
- Knitted with
commodorified and
fairestcat at the Gilmour St. Bridgehead. My knitting continues apace. I'd like to say it progresses - it's easier now, though I still make mistakes. I'm happy about it.
- Got a manicure, a real, beautiful manicure from Liliane at the hair co-op at 248 Bank Street. Liliane is from Beirut, and we talked about Lebanon a bit. I can't recall any of the Lebanese I once learned.
- After treadmill exercises and a supper of rice, chicken, assorted veggies and salad, I watched last week's Fringe episode and this week's Supernatural. Loved Fringe 3x15, "Subject 13", though I really want to see it again to follow the twists of the plot - see if I can tell better how the two universes interacted.
- On the other hand, Supernatural 3x16, "...And Then There Were None", pretty much put me to sleep. The only thing I liked about it was finally getting rid of the zombie grandfather, though I never thought I'd dislike a Mitch Pileggi role after loving him so much in X-Files. So it goes.
