I made a chicken recipe for an Oscr Dinner Party tonight and I think I should write it down before I forget what I did.
Oscar Chicken Legs
6 chicken legs
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp ginger, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp dried basil
1 can (28 fl. oz.) pear halves (unsweetened)
Preheat over to 375o F.
Put the chicken legs in a 13" x 9" x 2" pan. Heat the oil in a small fying pan and add the ginger, garlic and basil. Cook, stirring, for about 1 minute. Pour the oil and seasonings evenly over the chicken, and sprinkle the salt over it all. Put in the oven for 20 minutes.
At the 20 minute point, pour the pear juice into the pan and lay the pear halves over the chicken. Continue cooking for another 20 minutes.
Serve hot.
