fajrdrako: Script - Voynich codex ([Script])

After we watched Fringe and Supernatural this evening - two shows with a fine capacity for messing with our heads - Pim was telling me about the Voynich Manuscript, which astounds me mostly because I never heard of it before. How did that one pass me by?

That got us - well, me - onto a search of invented scripts, invented languages, and fictional worlds - all subjects I love. The "see also" and the "external links" addenda to this Wiki article are fascinating. Why does this make me think of The Ninth Gate or Le Club Dumas?

It's fun to browse this list of fictional worlds, too.

Ohh, that was a good book, the Club Dumas. Except for the end.
I hate when an author has a great buildup and construction and then you feel like he left himself no way out that would be of equal quality.
I still enjoy rereading it, but I tend to skip the end. The movie production was a horrible adaptation. But then, I would think that, wouldn't I.

I remember we encountered the Voynich. Adam says that we had it on our computer, which I only vaguely recall. Can't for the life of me remember how we got there. Information is so... fluid. Isn't it.

LOL, the movie didn't know what it was about.
Precisely. And it wasn't about books so much as about lame fire effects.
And I love that nobody knows what the Voynich means and it hasn't been decripted. I love the ongoing mystery part.
